The Hellenic Republic

The Hellenic Republic is always busy which is a result of its good quality food and reasonable prices (around $20 for a main). If you go there you MUST order the Kefalograviera saganaki for starters which I think is the absolute highlight of the menu. For mains I recommend ordering seafood or lamb but wouldn't recommend having dessert as I think it is overpriced for what's on offer. Another draw card for this restaurant is that it is owned by George Calombaris from MasterChef.

Lentil as Anything - Abbotsford Convent

Lentil as Anything located in the Abbotsford Convent has a wonderful community feel and leaves you feeling happily satisfied after indulging in its hearty vegetarian buffet offerings. The staff, mostly volunteers, always have a smile on their face and create a really friendly atmosphere. The restaurant attracts a diverse customer base because you pay what you feel the meal is worth.
